A 25-year-old man working in a private company and living in Ahmedabad was targeted by scammers, who extorted over Rs 49 lakh from him with threats of arrest and harm to his reputation.
A 26-year-old man in Ahmedabad fell victim to sextortion and lost ₹49.78 lakh. After receiving a nude video call from an unknown number, the fraudsters threatened to make the video viral. Then, posing as officers from the Delhi Cyber Crime Branch and YouTube officials threatened the man with arrest and career ruin. They then proceeded to defraud him.
