UST and Kaynes Semicon Partner to Establish Rs 3,330 Crore OSAT Facility in Gujarat

- On Sep 29, UST and Kaynes Semicon announced a joint venture to build a Rs 3,330 crore OSAT facility in Sanand, Gujarat.
- Aligned with the Make in India initiative, the partnership merges UST's digital engineering and AI with Kaynes Semicon's manufacturing to support India's semiconductor self-reliance goal.
- Kaynes will issue 27,778 compulsorily convertible preference shares to UST, with 5 per cent converting on closing and the remaining 5 per cent subject to revenue-linked milestones.
- The venture will strengthen India's semiconductor ecosystem as Kaynes Semicon delivers advanced OSAT solutions and UST’s global presence attracts new semiconductor customers.
