- Tiffany expressed gratitude to first responders, while his Democratic opponent David Crowley wished them quick recovery. Crowley added, "Grateful to God that Congressman Tiffany and no one else was hurt in this horrifying incident."
- The Federal Aviation Administration will lead the investigation into the crash, with support from the Wisconsin DNR and State Patrol. Authorities marked the submerged aircraft with a buoy and requested that the public avoid the area.
