The United States has turned back more commercial ships as part of its naval blockade of Iran, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Sunday.
On Sunday, the United States Army announced a change of course for 92 commercial vessels as part of the implementation of the embargo on Iranian ports.
The United States Navy, since the resumption of Iran's naval blockade, has intercepted more than 90 related merchant ships that were heading for or leaving the Iranian port, reported on Sunday to the US Central Command of the US Forces in the Middle East (CENTCOM). "As of 6 September, the United States forces diverted 92 commercial ships, disabled 3 and boarded 2 to ensure strict compliance with the embargo," the report states.
