The U.S. Western Hemisphere Joint Task Force destroyed a boat on Monday that allegedly operated as a floating fuel refueling station and supported the Ecuadorian criminal gang Los Choneros, the oldest in the Andean country, in drug trafficking operations.
The crew was landed and made available to the Ecuadorian authorities before U.S. forces sank the vessel.
