Full List of Tumble Dryer Brands Impacted by Urgent Safety Alert

On December 11, 2025, the UK government issued an urgent safety alert for 85,000 integrated heat pump tumble dryers made by Haier and brands including Baumatic, Candy, Caple, Hoover, Lamona, Iberna, and Montpellier.
Integrated heat‑pump tumble dryers face fire risks as internal short circuits, manufacturing variations, and lint build‑up can cause ignition during normal use, OPSS warned.
Owners should stop using affected machines immediately, switch off and unplug them, check model and serial numbers online, and contact manufacturers for free in-home repairs by a service engineer.
Haier paused its initial repair programme after regulator concerns and resumed contacting consumers following an updated modification, after launching a corrective action programme for 103,000 machines earlier this year.
As the head of consumer policy warned, the Office for Product Safety and Standards needs to ensure affected machines are fixed quickly and that British families know what to do to avoid fire risks this Christmas.
