Pea-sized hail predicted with thunderstorms in Yosemite Friday – wind gusts up to 40 mph

Yosemite, Yosemite Valley, Mariposa Madera Foothills and Mariposa-Madera Lower Sierra were placed under a report for strong thunderstorms by the National Weather Service on Friday at 2:54 a.m. The alert is in effect until 3:30 a.m.

Update: Thunderstorms with pea-sized hail in Oregon Thursday – wind gusts reaching 40 mph

An updated weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Thursday at 4:40 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until 5:15 p.m. for Central Douglas County and Eastern Douglas County Foothills as well as Jackson County.The storms could bring pea-sized hail (0.25 inches) and wind gusts of up to 40 mph.
