Two wildfires ingite during lightning storm near Chase
Wednesday’s thunderstorm sparked at least one of two wildfire near Chase. Discovered on the evening of May 6, the fires are located southwest of Chase near Harper Lake. One of the fires was determined to have been sparked by lightning, and estimated to be three hectares in size. The cause of the second fire, at .1 hectare, had not yet been determined.
