Five days after the re-introduction of the so-called fuel discount, fuel prices have stabilized near the start level.
The prices for petrol and diesel will pick up again a few days after the start of the fuel discount. As a result, the relief for drivers is already shrinking.
The "tank discount" is intended to relieve consumers. Shortly after the start, however, fuel prices are rising again slightly. According to ADAC, this is "difficult to understand".
After a sharp decline at the beginning, the prices at the pumps have now stabilized to a slightly higher level. The relief melts away, the ADAC criticises.
The fuel discount costs the state billions and is intended to relieve drivers of the burden. However, rising prices at the pumps lead to less savings than expected. Moreover, the price increase in a fuel is difficult to understand.
The fuel discount is already losing effect: only a few days after its launch, fuel prices have risen again. ADAC sees part of the relief already consumed.
