India to host Conclave of Army Chiefs of UN Troop Contributing Countries in Delhi from Oct 14-16

The conclave excludes Pakistan and China and gathers military leaders from over 30 UN troop-contributing countries to enhance peacekeeping cooperation and technology use.

  • From October 14 to 16, 2025, India will host the United Nations Troop Contributing Countries Chiefs' Conclave in New Delhi, with Pakistan and China not invited and excluded from ambassador briefings.
  • As one of the largest UN troop contributors, India convened the conclave to share best practices and foster collaboration following the Pahalgam attack and diplomatic measures against Pakistan.
  • Army chiefs and senior military leaders from more than 30 countries will participate in plenary sessions on Capacity Building and Resource Mobilisation and Technology as a Leverage for UN Peacekeeping Operations during the three-day programme.
  • The conclave is designed to showcase India as a trusted partner in building peacekeeping capacity, with officials saying it aims to build shared responsibility while Turkey's Defence Attaché declined in solidarity with Pakistan.
  • Over the past 75 years, India has contributed over 2,90,000 peacekeepers across 50 missions, with 182 fallen, and currently serves in nine of the 11 active missions including Lebanon and South Sudan.
