Unilever has instructed bankers at Rothschild to market the 212-year-old mustard brand to mitigate potential competition concerns arising from its deal with McCormick, Sky News learns.
Unilever is going to sell its well-known mustard brand Colman’s. By doing so, the group aims to allay concerns about competition now that it is merging its food business with the American company McCormick. Otherwise, the combined mustard market share might become too large.
