- Authorities banned The JAAC under anti-terrorism laws for allegedly threatening public order, following a wave of unrest ahead of the regional Elections for the 53-seat Legislative Assembly that began July 27.
- The Shehbaz Sharif government dismissed The JAAC claim of over 400 deaths as "overly exaggerated," with PM's adviser Rana Sanaullah stating the actual toll is in the double digits, including security personnel.
- India criticized the local Elections in PoK on August 4, labeling them a "complete farce" and "hollow" exercises that cannot hide the ground reality in the disputed region.
- The United Nations urged authorities to "ensure full Internet access throughout the territory" and called for inclusive political dialogue to address underlying grievances of the local population.
