I proposed a meeting with Polish President Karol Nawrocki, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a Sunday interview with Ukrainian television 1+1. He also said that immediately after Nawrocki's statements about his intention to strip him of the Order of the White Eagle, he began intensive talks, which, however, did not affect the Polish president's position.
The President of Poland, Karol Navroskski, responded to the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelenski, with regard to his "electrical process" in connection with the deprivation of his Order of the White Eagle, which he said did not concern Polish domestic policy.
Karol Nawrocki's decision to strip Volodymyr Zelensky of the Order of the White Eagle triggered a domino effect. The Ukrainian president returned the decoration, and former Ukrainian presidents and government officials in Kyiv also took similar steps. The Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland indicated the fate of the returned decorations.
The head of the Bureau of International Policy of the Office of the President of Poland Marcin Pshidach said that the Ukrainian side abandoned the planned meeting of Presidents Karol Navrotsky and Volodymyr Zelensky, offering a different time for it.
Ukrainian media appealed to Volodymyr Zelenskyy to go to Poland and meet with President Karol Nawrocki.
