The Russians have not fared well on the front lines in Ukraine this summer, making little progress, but some, and in a few places. Their advance has been largely confined to the front line north of Pokrovsk and in the Donetsk region. However, it can be argued that the focus of the war is no longer on the front line and that the situation there is less important than the long-range Russian and Ukrainian attacks.
