During the UN General Assembly, British Prime Minister Andy Burnham reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s commitment to the rule of law, amid tensions over the Malvinas Islands with Argentina. For his part, the Argentine Foreign Minister reiterated respect for the sovereignty of the islands.
The British Prime Minister stated in New York, during the UN General Assembly, that London will remain "firm in the face of any threat or challenge" to the rule of law, particularly as regards the Falkland Islands.
