Britain, the United States and the Netherlands on Tuesday issued a joint cybersecurity advisory detailing spyware they say is used by Iranian state-linked actors to target dissidents, activists and journalists. Britain, the United States and the Netherlands have issued a joint cybersecurity warning about Iranian state-linked spyware being used to monitor critics of the Tehran regime, including journalists, activists and dissidents.
Iran has taken over the phones and other devices of journalists and opponents of the regime in Tehran using malicious software, warns the General Intelligence and Security Service (AIVD). The service recently discovered the ‘Chosen Brick’ malware together with British colleagues and is now raising the alarm together with the British NCSC and the American FBI.
