Taipei, Aug. 20 (CNA) Ugandan immigration authorities have returned the passports to four Taiwanese nationals after recently withholding their documents at Entebbe International Airport, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) said Thursday.
Recently, several Taiwanese citizens traveling to Uganda with Republic of China (Taiwan) passports had their passports confiscated by Ugandan immigration officials on the grounds of the "One China Policy." In response, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on the 20th that all Taiwanese passports have been returned and urged China not to use this as an opportunity to stir up trouble.
