Security forces killed eight militants as six personnel, including two officers, were martyred in the firefight, the ISPR said.

- Sanitization operations continue to eliminate remaining militants as part of the counter-terrorism campaign under Azm-e-Istehkam, approved by the Federal Apex Committee to target foreign-sponsored terrorism.
- Prime Minister Shehbaz and President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to the fallen, with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stating, "The martyrs are the pride of the nation and their eternal sacrifices will always be remembered."
- Previous engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa killed 10 militants between September 15 and 17, as a Centre for Research and Security Studies report identified both provinces as the country's main violence hotspots during the second quarter of 2026.
