Two charged, stolen car recovered after Heidelberg West alleged hit-run
Police say a stolen Honda CRV struck a 68-year-old man, and officers arrested three people after a search warrant at a Heidelberg West home.
On Friday, Victoria Police arrested three people at Narvick Crescent in Heidelberg West during a search warrant operation targeting a car theft suspect.
The operation follows an incident last week on Blackwood Parade where a 68-year-old man was struck by his own Honda CRV while attempting to stop a car theft.
During the Friday search, officers were allegedly forced to jump from the path of a moving vehicle that later crashed into a wall and an unmarked police car, police said.
A 51-year-old woman faces charges including dangerous driving causing serious injury and theft of a motor vehicle, while a 42-year-old man will appear in court on Monday on related charges.
The victim remains in critical condition at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, while police confirmed they located the stolen CRV on Tobruk Avenue on Friday.
