Two Bodies Found in Ruins After House Burns Down in Zushi, Kanagawa Prefecture; Elderly Couple Possibly Unreachable (Kyodo News)

In the early hours of the 27th, a fire broke out at the home of unemployed Kenichi Ozawa (95) in Zushi City, Kanagawa Prefecture, completely burning down the two-story wooden house, and two bodies of unknown gender were found in the ruins. According to Zushi Police Station, Ozawa and his wife in their 80s lived together, and neither of them have been able to be contacted since the fire. The police are working to identify the bodies.
