In Žlebe, on the Italian side of Kanin, two avalanches outside the groomed ski runs have killed several ski tourers in recent days. The Slovenian side of Kanin is also warning of the still high level of avalanche danger.
The Italian news agency Ansa reported today that an avalanche in the Selle Nevee area at an altitude of approximately 2,000 meters swept away one person who was on a hike with four friends.
