Voter turnout in the parliamentary elections in Slovenia was 21.38 percent until 11:00 a.m. today, which is slightly more than at the same time in the 2022 elections, when 21.05 percent of voters voted, the State Election Commission (SEC) announced.
By 11 a.m., 362,383 voters, or 21.38 percent of all eligible voters, had cast their votes in the National Assembly elections, said Peter Golob, president of the National Electoral Commission (DVK). The highest voter turnout was in the Novo Mesto constituency, at 22.7 percent, and the lowest in the Ptuj constituency, at 19.5 percent.
More than 3,000 polling stations opened across the country at 7 a.m. for voting in the parliamentary elections. Voters will be able to cast their votes until 7 p.m., but the voting silence is still in effect until then. By 11 a.m., 21.38 percent of eligible voters had voted across the country.
By 4 p.m., 50.73% of Eligible Voters Had Voted, with Turnout Below Average in the Ljutomer District.
The highest voter turnout was in the Kranj constituency by 4 p.m. today, at 52.49%, and the lowest in the Postojna constituency, at 48.06%. The constituency with the highest turnout is Škofja Loka 2 (62.29%), while the lowest is Maribor 4 (37.06%).
