Turkish Politician Asked to Return Gains in Fund Crisis, AA ...
Former Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Bülent Arınç, commented on the "fund crisis" in the capital markets. Stating that a loss of 800 billion Turkish Lira was mentioned, Arınç said that the amount of money promised to be collected did not even reach 8 billion Turkish Lira. He argued that those responsible should be brought to justice.
Former Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Bülent Arınç, stated in his remarks regarding the "funding crisis": "We will pursue this to the end, let's see what comes out of it. Let's hold everyone accountable. We're talking about a loss of 800 billion [Turkish Lira]. The money to be collected from various sources isn't even 8 billion. Who will pay the rest, who is responsible for this? They all need to be exposed."
Özgür Özel, the leader of the New Party, listed the names of those involved in the fund investigation that has dominated Türkiye's agenda, stating, "These people are too important to be arrested. They are too big a bite to even enter the detention center. That's why they were released from the prosecutor's office."
Tuncer Bakırhan said, "Why doesn't the judicial system, which even detains young people for making jokes, detain AKP members? This country has lost 20 billion dollars, and yet no one has come under the radar of the judiciary."
