Slovak Environment Minister Tomáš Taraba will take Czech Government Envoy for the Green Deal Filip Turk to a meeting of EU ministers in Cyprus in a government special car, although Turk is not a member of the government and his person has long been controversial.
Government Commissioner for Climate Change and Honorary Chairman of Motorists Filip Turek will not attend the informal Council of EU Environment Ministers in Cyprus to attend the Chamber of Deputies. This was stated in a press release today by the Ministry of the Environment (MOE). It also thanked Slovakia for the offer of a joint flight, which had to be cancelled due to the negotiations of the Slovak National Council.
Government Commissioner for Climate Change and Honorary Chairman of the Motorists' Association Filip Turek will not attend the informal meeting of EU environment ministers in Cyprus due to his participation in a meeting of the Chamber of Deputies. The Ministry of the Environment announced this. However, Slovak Minister Tomáš Taraba, with whom Turek was originally supposed to fly to Cyprus on a government special plane, also canceled his trip.
The Czech politician thought that as a plenipotentiary of the Babiš government, he would get to the informal negotiations of the environment ministers thanks to Slovak Minister Tomáš Tarab. However, he sent word that he was not flying anywhere.
Last week, the government's climate commissioner, Filip Turek, announced his participation in the upcoming informal council of environment ministers in Cyprus. However, on Tuesday, the ministry announced that Turek would not attend the summit.
