For days, the government has been haggling for help for farmers suffering from drought. On Thursday morning, the next – possibly decisive – attempt to negotiate started. The ultimatum of SPÖ and Neos to the Minister of Agriculture has elapsed and is now being negotiated.
According to media reports, the SPÖ is said to have threatened with aborting negotiations. The ÖVP says to the "press" that only the media have learned about it. SPÖ and Neos reject a new draft law on the climate protection law. Only with this SPÖ and Neos want to agree to the Dürre aid. From 10 o'clock onwards, further negotiations should be held.
The chancellor's party presented a new proposal on the climate law. However, the coalition partners consider it unacceptable, because diaper soft. The SPÖ sets a deadline for the ÖVP until today, 10 a.m.
