Truth and Reconciliation: Elders, knowledge keepers honours Indigenous stories, past

Festival Place was a sea of orange shirts as community members gathered on Tuesday, Sept. 30 to recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Marking the important day, formerly known as Orange Shirt Day, Elders and knowledge keepers discussed the importance of Indigenous and non-Indigenous voices uniting to recognize the misdeeds of the past and stand for a better future.
