WASHINGTON – Louisiana’s congressional delegation voted Tuesday along party lines on a bill to approve the funding bills that end the three-day partial federal government shutdown.
The US House of Representatives has passed a bill to provide additional funding for the federal government. It ended the emergency regime known as the shutdown that has been in place since Saturday. US President Donald Trump said he would sign the approved bill “immediately”. The shutdown was related to the actions of federal agents in Minneapolis, where two Americans were shot dead during raids against illegal immigrants and subsequent protests.
