Ford Is Offering Employee Pricing and Free EV Chargers After Sales Crash Again in April
Ford is offering employee pricing on most 2025 and 2026 models and free home EV chargers as all-electric sales fell nearly 25% last month.
Ford reinstated its "Employee Pricing For All" program this month and is offering free chargers to stimulate demand after American sales fell 14% last month, marking the fourth consecutive month of year-over-year declines.
Sales of Ford EVs have struggled significantly this year, with total sales down 61% through the first four months of 2026, as the F-150 Lightning and Mustang Mach-E recorded declines of 67% and 50% respectively.
With employee pricing, the 2025 Mustang Mach-E starts at $36,005 and the 2025 F-150 Lightning begins at $50,646, with additional purchase incentives of up to $9,000 on certain models.
Ford is providing EV buyers with free Level 2 home chargers and 24/7 live support through its Power Promise Program, extended through July 6, 2026.
While phasing out first-gen EVs, Ford is betting on smaller, more affordable models based on its new Universal EV Platform, including a midsize electric pickup expected to start around $30,000 next year.
