- On Friday, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster declared a state of emergency, while Charleston emergency officials readied sandbags and stormwater pumps, and parts of Florida, including coastal Volusia and Brevard counties, were placed under tropical storm watches.
- This season is active and the developing system poses marine hazards through early next week, with swells of 7–13 feet easing by Monday and seas subsiding to 3–5 feet by Wednesday.
