A tragedy occurred in March of 1910 near Rogers. Medical and government officials from Barnes and Stutsman counties responded. John McFadgen and his wife were not feeling well, so they called the local doctor. We don’t know a lot about the McFadgens. The newspaper accounts didn’t give their ages, but said they had been pioneer residents of the area for more than 30 years, so we can assume they were in their 50s or 60s at the time of this inciden…
