Traditional jeepneys to be allowed to operate in Bacolod City
BACOLOD CITY—The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) is granting traditional jeepney operators permission to renew their provisional authorities (PAs) to operate, provided their vehicles are roadworthy and they justify their requests. Bacolod modernized PUJs facing foreclosure
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board has appealed to banks and financing institutions to suspend the foreclosure of more than 300 modernized jeepneys in this city as operators struggle with rising fuel prices.
Foreclosure of modernized jeepneys agreed to be postponed, LTFRB said. Financial assistance for modernized jeepney operator and traditional jeepney is scheduled to be released. Here is Richard Caballero's report.
