Runnin' Like It's 1999: Jack Macdonald Breaks 27-Year-Old School Record in 200 Meters to Open OSU High Performance Meet

The Prince lyric "Party like it's 1999" doesn't work for Portland State track & field freshman Jack Macdonald. If he were to do that, he wouldn't even be an embryo. And yet, the 19-year-old delivered the first new record in the men's 200 meters since 1999 Friday in leading the Vikings on the first day of the OSU High Performance Meet.

At the Oregon State High Performance Meet in Corvallis, Ore., freshman Kylie Nelson ran a personal-best 10:49.90 in the 3000m steeplechase to place third in the meet and move up to ninth-fastest in school history.
