Tottenham Reach Iliman Ndiaye Deal as Richarlison Departure Looks Imminent
Everton may swap Richarlison for Iliman Ndiaye as supporters force the club to abandon a sale of teen prospect Harrison Armstrong.
On Saturday, Everton halted the proposed £40million sale of 19-year-old midfielder Harrison Armstrong to Nottingham Forest after furious supporters chanted his name and threatened to "riot" at Bournemouth.
Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are currently negotiating a swap deal involving Senegal international Iliman Ndiaye moving to London and Richarlison returning to Merseyside as manager Roberto De Zerbi seeks attacking reinforcements.
Ndiaye has scored 15 Premier League goals for the Toffees, while Richarlison has been "troubled by injuries" and asked to leave "too many times," according to manager Roberto De Zerbi.
Tottenham's summer spending is set to exceed £400m as the club races to finalize attacking options before the transfer window shuts on Tuesday.
Manager David Moyes stresses the need to retain key players as the Friedkin Group ownership and squad size remain under scrutiny heading into the final days of the transfer window.
