More than 25,000 mugs sold in Canada are being recalled after 28 incident reports and one burn injury linked to cracking from hot liquids, Health Canada states.

- Reports filed by March 10 indicate the mug's design can crack or break when filled with hot liquid, causing burns, according to Health Canada and the company.
- Health Canada records show 25,040 mugs with donut designs and pink handles sold in stores and on Timshop.ca between Jan. 15 and Feb. 18.
- The chain has pulled the mugs from sale and is refunding buyers with full returns accepted until April 22, 2026, under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act.
- Tim Hortons' newsroom in late February advised customers to stop using the Donut Mug and return it for a refund, directing them to timhortons.ca/support or support@timshop.ca.
