Despite several days of challenging hard work by Indian and Nepali teams amid rescue operations in Chilime Tunnel in the wake of the devastating Bhotekoshi floods on August 26, the mortal remains of five people were extricated, the Indian Ambassador to Nepal said on Wednesday.
The search for missing people has been suspended at 10 of the 13 hydropower projects damaged by devastating floods in Nepal. Rescue operations are now underway only in Chilime, Upper Trishuli-1, and Upper Trishuli-3 'B'. It is reported that 868 people are still missing.
