The Santiago National Stadium was the largest detention and torture center during Augusto Pinochet's dictatorship.
Santiago de Chile, Sep 12 (Prensa Latina) On the occasion of the 53rd anniversary of the coup d'état, Chileans paid tribute this week to President Salvador Allende and the victims of the dictatorship, with acts and pilgrimages where they rejected a virtual pardon for repressors. The commemoration of the 53 years of the coup d’état in the National Stadium brought together nearly 20,000 people, according to figures given by the organization of the meeting at the end of this day.
