Koretskyi: 27bn Shortfall Is Part of Ukraines 155bn Wartime Funding Need
Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi said Ukraine’s $27bn budget shortfall is part of a $155bn wartime funding need outlined in February, with about $7bn to be covered through austerity and reallocations.
This year, Ukraine will have to spend at least $155 billion on the war with Russia. This amount includes budgetary and extra-budgetary needs, in particular direct military material and technical assistance from partners.
Ukraine estimates the total cost of the war at $155 billion. At the same time, $27 billion of that amount is currently left without coverage found.
