- Apple software released last weekend contains a bug that freezes iPhones after a specific swipe sequence on the Home Screen.
- You trigger the freeze by swiping down from the top-left to open the Notification Center, then quickly swiping from the top-right to open the Control Center.
- Once frozen, icons for the Camera and Torch remain stuck at the top of the screen, and the device stops registering your taps or swipes.
- Luckily, you can fix the soft-lock with a force restart by pressing the Volume button, then the Volume Down button, and finally holding the Power button until the Apple logo appears.
- Apple will likely roll out a fix in a future update, as similar software soft-locks have occurred in previous iOS versions.
