Switzerland will buy fewer US F-35 fighter jets from Lockheed Martin than the planned 36, the Swiss government decided on Friday. The reason is that the company unilaterally announced in Zurich last summer that the cost of purchasing the aircraft would increase by 1.3 billion francs (just under 34 billion crowns).
