Finland leads the World Happiness Report for the ninth consecutive year with Nordic countries dominating the top ranks; over 100,000 people surveyed globally, report finds.

- The top-10 list includes Finland, Iceland, Denmark, Costa Rica, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, Israel, Luxembourg and Switzerland, with only Israel requiring a visa or ETA; European countries allow stays under 90 days, Costa Rica under 180 days.
- This year, the United States placed 23rd, two spots ahead of Canada, while Afghanistan ranked at the bottom and Mexico was 12th, the World Happiness Report said.
- Researchers and public health officials offered differing interpretations as Norway's average score has dropped since 2017, but the Norwegian Institute of Public Health said levels remained fairly stable.
