The United States did not join the UN in condemning Russia's attacks on Ukraine and calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities. The document, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Ukraine's independence, was supported by 50 states.

A group of 50 states made a joint statement at the UN in which they condemned Russia's strikes on Ukraine. However, this resolution was not supported by 143 countries, including the United States.
The United States was not among the 50 States that aligned themselves with the joint statement on Ukraine, which was announced on 24 August at the United Nations, including all EU countries, including Hungary and Slovakia, as well as the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea and Ukraine.
