- Michael Anton, Director of Policy Planning, State Department, drafted the first version but left before completion amid disputes, while Stephen Miller, deputy chief of staff, may have finished it amid internal friction involving Sergio Gor, Office of Presidential Personnel Director.
- The unpublished strategy proposes a Core 5 and calls for Washington to support parties and cultural figures seeking sovereignty, naming Austria, Hungary, Italy, and Poland to pull away from the EU.
- As reporting emerged, senior security aides to President Karol Nawrocki arrived in Washington for talks, while the official 33-page National Security Strategy warns of 'civilisational erasure' and Poland's more liberal, pro-EU government reacted less positively, the National Security Bureau @BBN_PL said.
