In the heart of Provence, a titan of technology has just received its centrepiece. After a decade and a half of manufacturing, the United States has completed the delivery of the most critical component of the ITER project, reviving the hopes for clean and almost unlimited energy.
The American division of the international ITER project delivered the final batch of equipment needed to create the central solenoid—the fundamental magnetic component of the fusion reactor under construction in Cadarache, France.
