- Residential battery installations fell 27% year-over-year to 657 MWh, while commercial storage added 1.8 GWh as data center developers increasingly paired batteries with onsite generation to manage power loads.
- Benchmark raised its 2030 cumulative storage forecast by 11.5% to 683 GWh, with annual capacity expected to exceed 110 GWh as utilities race to meet rising electricity demand.
