The ownership structure of the Budapest Transport Center is undergoing a significant transformation: the Budapest Public Development Council (FKT) is proposing to the government and the Budapest Municipality that the National Transport Center acquire a 50 percent stake in BKK through a capital increase. The company would continue to operate under the name BKK Budapesti Várostérségi Közlekedési Központ Zrt.
