The videos from the tunnel in Rafah are not a private story of six kidnapped people - they reflect a national shared destiny that is revealed in moments of extreme danger. • What they teach about mutual responsibility, compassion, and concern should remain with us even outside of the darkness. • We must not allow cynical leaders and elected officials, and cynical media, to convey the story to us in a different way.
