The Lorient Public Prosecutor's Office announced on Wednesday 19 August the opening of judicial information for 40 new sexual assaults and 10 rapes against Joël Le Scouarnec, a former surgeon convicted in May 2025 for nearly 300 rapes and sexual assaults.
