The National Rally (RN) led by Marine Le Pen won two key parliamentary seats on Wednesday with the support of President Emmanuel Macron's allies.
Sébastien Chenu and Hélène Laporte returned to positions they had held between 2022 and 2024. MPs (LFI) Clémence Guetté and Nadège Abomangoli also returned to their seats. Christophe Blanchet (MoDem) and Marie-Agnès Poussier-Winsback (Horizons) were also elected.
Already vice-presidents of the Assembly between 2022 and 2024, RN MPs Sébastien Chenu and Hélène Laporte returned to their posts.
