Iranian President Massoud Bizshkian, on Friday, said that Tehran had agreed with the Sultanate of Oman on a ship-crossing route in the Strait of Hormuz and had linked the reopening of the seaway to the implementation by the United States of its commitments contained in the Islamabad Memorandum signed last June. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced that an agreement had been reached with Oman regarding the transit route through the Strait of Hormuz. Pezeshkian stated that the Strait could be opened if the US fulfills its obligations under the memorandum of understanding signed on June 17th with Pakistan as a mediator.

Iranian President Pezeshkian gave a clear answer to a question about when the Strait of Hormuz would be opened. Pezeshkian stated that they would open the strait immediately if the US complied with the Islamabad Agreement.
