The Anaheim Ducks Beat Edmonton 5-2 in Game 6 to Eliminate the Two-Tim

When LaCombe signed a $72 million contract extension last September, casual hockey fans around North America questioned the move with skepticism online.
LaCombe logged 27 minutes per game against Edmonton's superstars, earning high praise from teammates. Ducks forward Troy Terry said, "He literally doesn't have a weakness in his game."
Teammate Leo Carlsson, who broke into the NHL alongside LaCombe, called him "one of the best players in the playoffs." The Ducks reached their first playoff berth since 2018 under coach Quenneville.
As Anaheim prepares for the second round, coach Quenneville expects captain Radko Gudas to return from a lower-body injury. LaCombe said, "We always knew we were a good team.
